A house edge looks small as a percentage. A 1.06% edge on baccarat banker means you lose about one unit for every hundred wagered — but you wager the same money again and again. Over a three-hour session the total you lose creeps toward the size of your bankroll. This page runs that process instead of describing it.

This page does not tell you how to win
Every bet type here has a negative expectation. Changing strategy does not change the per-hand expectation — it only changes volatility and the chance of ruin. The takeaway is not how to win but how much you should expect to lose.
Slots are not included
Land-based casinos in the Philippines do not publish per-machine RTP. Filling in an estimate would break our own rule that unverified figures stay blank. We will add slots when official numbers exist.
Method
For each bet type we derive the per-hand expectation from its win/push/loss probabilities and effective payout, then play out 4,000 sessions hand by hand. Ruin means the bankroll fell below the table minimum. The random seed is fixed, so the same inputs always give the same result.
FAQ
- If the house edge is 1%, do I only lose 1% of my bankroll?
- No. The edge applies to **total amount wagered**, not to your bankroll. With ₱20,000 at a ₱500 table over three hours you wager more than ₱100,000 in total, so a 1% edge means an expected loss well above ₱1,000. The 'total wagered' figure in the calculator above is that number.
- Does the Martingale system work?
- It does not change the per-hand expectation. What it changes is **how much you wager** — it makes you bet more while losing, which raises total wagered, expected loss and the chance of ruin together. Switch the strategy in the calculator above and watch the ruin figure jump.
- Banker or player in baccarat?
- Banker. Even after the 5% commission its house edge is 1.06% against the player bet's 1.24%. The tie bet is 14.4% and is not close.
- How bad is a 6:5 blackjack table?
- When blackjack pays 6:5 instead of 3:2 the house edge rises from roughly 0.5% to 1.9% with the same basic strategy — close to four times worse. Checking the payout sign before you sit down matters more than any strategy adjustment.
- Why are slots missing?
- Land-based casinos in the Philippines do not publish per-machine RTP. We leave unverified figures blank, so slots stay out until official numbers exist.
